SOS THE AMERICAS
On October 23 2009 the famous Torch Of Life was lit in Wasilla, Alaska. It was the start of 2 year journey that ends up in Argentina October 24 2011. During thjis journey thousands of students will carry the Torch from almost 300 cities in 36 countries of the Americas. Together, with the community, media and all levels of Government, these student torch champions will bring organ & tissue donations to the forefront and hopefully help save many lives

Principal Curtis Scrieber helped organize his school Rutland Secondary School to carry the Torch of Life. Four of his trach students carried the Torch from their school to Kelowna City Hall where Mayor Sheppard recieved the Torch
