SOS THE AMERICAS
On October 23 2009 the famous Torch Of Life was lit in Wasilla, Alaska. It was the start of 2 year journey that ends up in Argentina October 24 2011. During this journey thousands of students will carry the Torch from almost 300 cities in 36 countries of the Americas. Together, with the community, media and all levels of Government, these student torch champions will bring organ & tissue donations to the forefront and hopefully help save many lives

The Torch was lit at Miller Comphrehensive High School. Students from the other 3 Catholic High Schools joined in, Dr. Martin Leboldus, Archbishop Oneill, & Michael A Riffel. The students carried the Torch to the Saskatchewan Legislative Building where Premier Brad Wall and his Government recieved the Torch. Premier Wall was a class act, he gave the students a great tour afterwards to his office and chambers.
