The Torch Of Life came to Sudbury Canada November 27 2009

The Torch Of Life came to:

Start: Lively Secondary School
Finish: Sudbury City Hall

SOS THE AMERICAS
On October 23 2009 the famous Torch Of Life was lit in Wasilla, Alaska. It was the start of 2 year journey that ends up in Argentina October 24 2011. During this journey thousands of students will carry the Torch from almost 300 cities in 36 countries of the Americas. Together, with the community, media and all levels of Government, these student torch champions will bring organ & tissue donations to the forefront and hopefully help save many lives

A school assembly is held at Lively Secondary School. Afterwards Student Torch Champions Keely Mirka and Victor Hopper carry the Torch to Sudbury City Hall where Deputy Mayor Ted Callaghan recieves the Torch. Keely carried Torch for her grandfather Eugene who recieved a Kidney
