SOS THE AMERICAS
On October 23 2009 the famous Torch Of Life was lit in Wasilla, Alaska. It was the start of 2 year journey that ends up in Argentina October 24 2011. During this journey thousands of students will carry the Torch from almost 300 cities in 36 countries of the Americas. Together, with the community, media and all levels of Government, these student torch champions will bring organ & tissue donations to the forefront and hopefully help save many lives

Zoe Bernard
On December 17, 2007, during Step By Step's 6th Camp[aign SOS4000, College Mont Saint Louis Student Katia Habra carried the Torch through Montreal to help save the life of 2 year old Zoe Bernard who was in desperate need of a heart transplant. Katia carried the Torch during one of the coldest days in Montreal.

Today our youngest Torch Champion carried the Torch. 4 year old Zoe Bernard and her mother & father Catherine and Marco arrived at McGill Restaurant to meet with George and Montreal Student Katia Habra. 3 TV Stations came out to interview the family, CTV, CBC and Global. At 1:00 pm Katia carried the Torch and as she got close to Montreal City Hall she passed the Torch to Zoe who carried and passed it to Montreal Deputy Mayor Jane Cowell Poitras. Zoe
