SOS THE AMERICAS
On October 23 2009 the famous Torch Of Life was lit in Wasilla, Alaska. It was the start of 2 year journey that ends up in Argentina October 24 2011. During this journey thousands of students will carry the Torch from almost 300 cities in 36 countries of the Americas. Together, with the community, media and all levels of Government, these student torch champions will bring organ & tissue donations to the forefront and hopefully help save many lives

SOS THE AMERICAS continued the campaign after completing the Canadian Leg. On January 30 Toronto Police Officers led by Cst Ojo Tewogbade  brought the Torch to Buffalo at a media based event. They passed the Torch Of Life to Buffalo Police Officers headed by Captain Patrick Mann. This was very symbolic to show how the Police are the backbone of this campaign and how one country can join with another in a very important cause
