SOS THE AMERICAS
On October 23 2009 the famous Torch Of Life was lit in Wasilla, Alaska. It was the start of 2 year journey that ends up in Argentina October 24 2011. During this journey thousands of students will carry the Torch from almost 300 cities in 36 countries of the Americas. Together, with the community, media and all levels of Government, these student torch champions will bring organ & tissue donations to the forefront and hopefully help save many lives

On February 15 2010, the Torch arrived in Providence RI. It was during winter break week, so all the schools were closed. We had arranged with the Mayor's office to hold our press conference at the Skating rink, and thats where we recruited students. Steven Ricciardi from Courtyard Marriott joined us. He has been an excellent host for us and also very supportive. He definetly understands this mission. Also we need to thank Taska Ford for making major repairs on the Truck Of Life. Mark from UNO Chigago fed us. NBC TV came out to do our story. I am feeling very defeated after finding out that I am 2 weeks from loosing my house, have to find strength
