Day 123
St Augustine School
On February 23, Firefighter Lt. Charles Lubowicki
volunteered to drive the stranded Truck Of Life from Hamden to Hartford. This unselfish person drove his car earlier to Hamden then came back to get the Truck.
Fox TV CTNOW conducted our first live news story at 11:00 am news spot. The TV team came to St Augustine School, where the students were waiting.
Afterwards we all gathered at Connecticut State Hose to begin the Torch Trek back to the school. During this time George Marcello recieved a call from Marcie, the aunt of a 3 month baby boy who needs a heart transplant. The Students carried the Torch for Quinn Matthews Faerdy. When they arrived at St Augustine a prayer sesion was held for people waiting for organs and 10 Hail Marys were said for Quinn.
New Haven Register was kind enough to run an article to recruit a driver for the Truck of Life via Rochester NY. Glenn Shroeder, a Truck Driver responded and met George in Hartford, Chief Gary Allyn was kind enough to park Glenn's car at his station in West Hartford
