Day 126
Canisius High School

On February 26, the Torch arrived in Buffalo, Glenn Shroeder continued driving the Truck Of Life. Comfort Suites put us up for a few days while we were in Buffalo. There was talk about a snowstorm in Buffalo and the thoughts of closing schools crept in the background. We had to be reminded we were in Buffalo, where the kids were used to this kinda of weather
The next day, we arrived to Buffalo City Hall where the students from Canisius HS were waiting enthusiastically to carry the Torch. We were met by our good friend Captain Mann of the Buffalo Police, and we had the good fortunate to meet Chief Richards. Captain Mann was the first to recieve the Torch when we crossed the border at the Peace Bridge in Buffalo. We were also joined by Upstate New York Transplant Society and Matt Spence from Comfort Suites. We continued to announce the plight of young Quinn Matthews who needed a heart transplant. The students carried the Torch to their School where a beautiful School Assembly was arranged. Hats off to Andrea and her staff for an excellent event.
